When should my child visit the pediatrician?
Take your child to the doctor any time they’re sick or injured. Along with essential acute care, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends regular well-child checkups as your child grows.
Children should have regular checkups every few months from birth to 30 months (2½ years). Beginning at age 3, your child should have annual exams with the providers until they’re 19.
These routine appointments help prevent illness, track your child’s growth and development, and build trust between the doctor, your child, and you. The pediatrician also does physical exams for school and sports.
Let the providers at Valley of the Sun Pediatrics help you raise a happy, healthy child.
